Draw what you can't say.

Commencing aesthetic scanning:

HoOkay! I adore your use of color on this page; The muted gray creates a feeling of gloominess that accompanies depressing rainy days. This craftily sets up the readers' moods. The darkened figure in the first panel immediately grabs our attention. Also, the use of perspective here is great: diagonal lines create a sense of movement, so whoever that character is, he is moving towards us.

Also, the eeriness is heightened by the speech bubble: "The silence...is unnerving." It's obviously raining, so having the character describe the world as being remarkably mute just makes it that more frightening. Great first panel!

Anyways, moving along... eh... Wait... How is this comic supposed to read? Left-to-right or right-to-left? It makes sense both ways, kinda... o.O I r dumb sometimes XD

Well... whatever. I'll analyze it from both ways! Maauuahaha! The panel with the dark haired guy's eye is really cool. The fact that you showed his eye means that the audience can connect with him. The blond is completely disconnected from the audience: and he's soaked. Maybe he was walking alone in the rain for a long time? Why would he do that? Is he sad?

Having a whole panel dedicated to "There!" can be interpreted as someone finally finding someone else. It means that they were looking... or hunting the other. But who has found who? Intriguing!

The last panel ties the page together nicely: The dark haired character has a sword! So he's the hunter! But why? The blond's balled fists indicate that although he may be surprised, he is already taking the defensive! Was he expecting this? Why? And who IS that dark-haired hunk?? Hmmm?? The straight lines of the characters' stances and the tree trunks in the background gives us the mood of strength, so the audience can tell that he's strong. Also the lines of the branches and leaves leaves us with the feeling of unrest or chaos.
But what's going to happen next? It's a great thing that that you leave the audience wanting more at the end of each page!

Anyways, I really really like your use of light with the street lamp. THAT IS SO COOL!! However, the lighting would probably be more dynamic if you emphasized the foreground. Next time, try adding a darker tone to the background and see if that does the trick!
Also, the "Target found" dialog became a little lost with the scenery. Next time, try leaving blocked in boxes like that white to see if that looks better.

credit for this page largely goes to Silver-Strife-Angel because she drew everything, I was the layout planner and I did the screentones as well as the words. well, thanks for telling me everything that wasn't so good about the picture, I really appreciate it! and of course... all your questions regarding the characters, will be answered in teh next few pages. ^^ okay??

I'm surprised you like the streetlight, I simply used the eraser at a low opacity to rub off the screentones (I had two layers of them) and I'm extremely pleased that you liked the effect.

so, on the whole, me and Strifey agreed that you're our best commentor yet, apart from our sensei... so... thanks and keep it up, we want to hear more from you, okay???
